The situation around COVID-19 is evolving daily.

According to our local public health department in Santa Cruz, interactions between people in large areas should be reduced to preserve health system capacity and ensure that care is accessible to those who are severely ill. The virus is non-lethal to the majority of patients and many do not require medical oversight. However, the communities our members care for, such as elderly citizens and individuals with disabilities or pre-existing medical conditions, are vulnerable and at-risk. In our line of work especially, we want to do everything we can to protect others—ourselves, our clients, and our communities.

We encourage you to take a balanced approach with proper and reasonable safety measures, including preparing yourselves with the knowledge you need to continue serving vulnerable populations without interruption.
