NIA Members Awarded $1,500 in Donations

A spotlight on six nonprofits given $250 donations.

Nonprofits Insurance Alliance recently asked members and brokers for feedback about the design of our public website. There was an extraordinary response and we truly appreciate the many valuable insights you all provided.

To thank participants, three nonprofits that provided feedback were randomly selected by NIA to each receive a $250 donation to support their missions. Three participating brokers were also randomly selected — and were each given the opportunity to select a deserving nonprofit to also receive a $250 donation from NIA.

We wanted to take this opportunity to put a spotlight on each of these organizations and their missions.

Love of Animals, Inc. (Visalia, Calif.) — Love of Animals is an animal-welfare organization dedicated to ending the killing of all companion animals. Their all-volunteer staff focuses on providing rescue, rehabilitation, spay/neuter, fostering, and placement for animals in need in Tulare County.

Their goal is to create a community that is founded on inclusion, opportunities, and the belief that very person has value.

Sustainable Cotton Project (Winters, Calif.) — Sustainable Cotton Project is a private nonprofit organization who works with conventional farmers to help them implement biologically based agricultural-management practices. SCP’s program enables growers to reduce their dependence on toxic chemicals and utilize reduced risk practices — leading to cleaner air and water.

Thank you again to all who participated!
