California wage and hour laws are the most detailed in the nation, with particular rules for determining what constitutes “hours worked” and how time worked must be tracked. This webinar, appropriate for HR and Payroll staff, will discuss best practices for documenting timekeeping, how to calculate workweeks, overtime and meal and rest break compliance and penalties. Reviewing the California Wage Orders and Labor Code, we will discuss the rules about the timing of regular payroll, accounting of paid leave, pay stub contents and final pay requirements.
