Symphonies & Orchestras: Insurance Explained

Nonprofit symphonies and orchestras want insurance that’s in harmony with their needs.

Many communities enjoy live musical performances thanks to the efforts of nonprofit symphonies and orchestras. These nonprofits need insurance — but what coverages do they need most? Here’s what some real NIA members had to say.

There’s no greater metaphor for community than a symphony or orchestra performing classical music — different musicians playing different instruments, all working together to create something beautiful.

In large cities and small communities, nonprofit symphonies and orchestras provide a place for musicians to discover their talent, hone their skills, and showcase them for the public’s enjoyment.

Just like the musicians that they serve, every nonprofit symphony and orchestra is unique, which also means each one has their own unique needs when it comes to their insurance.

So, what do nonprofit symphonies and orchestras need most from their insurance?

Meet some nonprofit symphonies and orchestras.

We conduct site visits to local high school orchestra programs and conduct master class sessions using our own musicians/educators.

We present a season of baroque concerts, culminating in a presentation of Bach’s masterpiece “St. Matthew Passion” on Palm Sunday.”
