An insurance broker is there to look out for a nonprofit’s best interests. It’s best to select a broker for their service and expertise, not because they serve on your board of directors, are a friend of a board member, or they donate to your organization. Any broker you select should be transparent about the commission they receive from each insurance company.
If your nonprofit doesn’t have a broker, and you’re ready to get insurance for your 501(c)(3) nonprofit now, NIA can recommend one when you Get A Quote.
