True to its name, umbrella liability insurance typically provides higher limits for a variety of coverages. While the vast majority of all claims are settled for less than $1 million, larger organizations may wish to purchase higher limits. When a $1 million primary liability policy is not enough to respond to a significant or catastrophic loss, umbrella liability provides the excess protection needed to respond, and at very competitive premium costs.
