Carolyn Day

Carolyn Day is the Executive Director of Black United Fund of Illinois, Inc. (BUFI), a Chicago-based ANI member since 2022.  

BUFI is an independent affiliate of the National Black United Fund. Designed to improve the quality of life of Black People through self-sufficiency at the local level. BUFI has worked for over 35 years throughout Chicago, the South Shore Community, and other state of Illinois communities.

Carolyn has broad communication skills, the ability to work cross-functionally and help organizations succeed.

She serves as a board member for both Chicago Access Network Television (CAN TV) and South Side Community Art Center (a National Treasure).

Carolyn is an avid volunteer for servicing disabled persons, including children and adults. 

She received a M.Ed. in Educational Psychology from Loyola University, Chicago, IL and a BS in Communication Disorders from Lincoln University, Jefferson City, MO.

Carolyn is also a Licensed Speech Therapist in IL and Council Member of the State of Illinois African American Employment Policy Council.
